WT022 - BUILDING A FUTURE

We didn't have that much time to explore the capital of Sri Lanka but we found its overall environment quite healthy to visit and live in. With a long waterfront in direction north and south, the city grows rapidly and in a modern way. Several new high-rise buildings start to define the city's skyline and will probably create a greater gap between poor and rich in the coming future. Many establishments, movie theaters and supermarkets are easy to reach, and accommodation exist in every corner. The city's rhythm is not as chaotic as we experienced in India, and its simple to move around with the trains and busses available.

Tip: visit the Temple Gangaramaya and its area, as well as Colombo's Lotus Tower.

Next Stop: Ha Noi, Vietnam
