THE CHOCOLATE CITY

When going to Finland, leave Helsinki behind. The country has a lot more to offer besides its capital. Porvoo, for example, is a city about one hour away by train and has an amazing old town as well as some famous chocolate factories, well the third best chocolate in Europe to be more precise. Even by arrival you will feel the sweet smell of cocoa which invades the whole area. Pay a visit to the most famous Brunberg Chocolate Factory (since 1871) or the small and cosy Lilla Chokladfabriken, where everything is handmade. The old town is also quite charming for shopping or a day walking. The old wood houses in many pastel colours and the uneven ground only give more character to the town.
