THE BALTIC WAY PART 6

Aegna is an island just outside the shore of Estonia in the Tallinn Bay. It can be reached by ferry boat, 1,5 hours drive directly from Tallinn. Perfect for some quality time in nature, the island offers visitors the chance of enjoying the best sand beaches in Estonia and if wished a couple nights stay. There's a camping site with campfire spots and picnic area, as well as local guesthouses. Historically the island has been used for military purposes, and its remains like many abandoned buildings can still be seen all around. Aegna is a landscape conservation area and there are three walking trails available, an old cemetery, a stone maze and a labyrinth. All this information and a map can be found just a few meters from the port.
